Former Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Ahmed Mohamed Makarfi has sent warm greetings to all Christian brothers and sisters, and Nigerians at large, on the occasion of the celebration of this year’s Easter.
He said “for Christians, the life and death of Jesus are the ultimate expressions of love and selfless sacrifice.
“In these times of great challenge, I urge all to see even greater possibilities. And Easter’s timeless message strengthens us for the daunting, yet surmountable tasks before us.
“I urge all Nigerians to eschew hate and demonstrate patriotism through our love for country and each other. Let us emulate the values of humility, discipline, perseverance, sacrifice and obedience which Jesus Christ demonstrated.
“I pray that God grants the leadership of our nation wisdom to steer the nation in paths of enduring peace, security and prosperity for all.
He expressed confidence that “the time-tested resilience and determination of our citizens will see us through.
“Happy Easter to all Nigerians”, he concluded.
