The victory of Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party in the just concluded Osun state gubernatorial election has again re-enforced the popular saying that power belongs to the people.
The final results declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC ) returning officer for Osun state, Prof Joshua Ogunwole show that Ademola Adeleke of Accord Party scored 511,067 votes to defeat his closest opponent, Bola Oyebanji of the All Progressive Congress (APC) who scored 444,815.
This victory brings to an end the palpable tension, war and deaths that engulfed the state many weeks before the poll on August 15, 2026.
The people have spoken loud a clear that Adeleke has their mandate for another four years to continue to bring joy to their lives through his dance steps and infrastructural development.
This is a major leap for democracy, which is government of the people by the people for the people.
Now the coast is clear for Mr. Adeleke dance his way to the Government House, Oshogbo. Congratulations to all Nigerians.
