…Commends Judiciary committee chairman for good job

The Senate has confirmed President Bola Tinubu’s nomination of Justice Joseph Olubunmi Kayode Oyewole, JCA, for appointment as a Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
This followed the consideration of the report of its Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights & Legal Matters presented by the chairman, Senator Adegbonmire, Adeniyi Ayodele (Ondo Central).
Adegbonmire in the report said the committee screened the nominee and asked him questions which “he answered intelligently”.
The Senate therefore unanimously approved the committee’s report and confirmed the nomination of Justice Oyewole as Supreme Court Justice.
Senate President, Godswill Akpabio congratulated the nominee and “pray that God will grant him the wisdom to do justice to all and sundry irrespective of circumstances”.
He also congratulate the chairman of the Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters Senator Adegbonmire Adeniyi Ayodele and all the members “for the speedy manner in which they carried out this assignment”.
Akpabio further congratulated President Tinubu “on finding a square peg in a square hole” that had made it possible for the Senate to collectively and unanimously endorse his nomination as a Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
He prayed that through Justice Oyewole and others already there, justice will be served to the common man in this country and justice will be served even to the senators”.
