NACCIMA President Commends New Era of Youth-Led Enterprise in Nigeria

The National President, Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (NACCIMA), Engr. Jani Ibrahim has commended NACCIMA Youth Entrepreneurs (NYE) for changing the narratives about Nigerian youths.

Engr. Ibrahim made the commendation when Dr. Sameera Abubakar Abdullahi, National Coordinator, NYE had an interactive session with NACCIMA team where she outlined their vision, key initiatives, and the strategic direction they will be taking from 2025 to 2027 at NACCIMA Headquarters, Abuja.

Dr. Sameera Abdullahi was accompanied by the newly appointed National Executive Council of the NYE (2025–2027).

The team represents all regions of the country and brings together expertise from diverse industries — unified by a passion for youth-driven development.

Earlier, Dr. Sameera Abubakar Abdullahi appreciated the exceptional leadership of NACCIMA President, Engr. Jani Ibrahim, especially his “commitment to private sector reform, youth empowerment, and economic resilience”, which she said “continues to inspire our community of over 20,000 young entrepreneurs across Nigeria. Your efforts have laid the groundwork for innovation, inclusiveness, and intergenerational enterprise transformation”.

She said major projects and strategic highlights include the inaugural African Youth Investment Forum (AYIF) slated for Saturday, August 31, 2025 at UNDP Office, Abuja

Participants will be 20 youth leaders from across Africa with the goal of regional dialogue, policy innovation, and joint investment partnerships.

“The forum will be held annually and rotate across African nations, advancing our vision of cross-border collaboration and sustainable youth-led development.

Another programme is International Youth Day 2025 Celebration slated for Saturday, August 30, 2025 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja with the theme “Fostering Youth Innovation and Green Skills for Growth and Global Sustainability”.

This event will feature “strategic dialogues, youth-led innovation exhibitions, expert panels on the green economy and international collaborations”.

The NYE 2025–2027 Strategic Agenda: “From Ideas to Impact” focuses on capacity building, sustainable development, and institutionalizing youth enterprise. Key programmes include:

“Biweekly Online Sensitization Program – Virtual webinars and social media outreach
“Establishment of the National Youth Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NYCCI)
“Official Launch of NYCCI Board of Trustees – Inclusion of public, private, and diaspora representatives”.

Dr. Sameera Abdullahi said these programmes will help to take Nigerian youth from crimes like “yahoo yahoo drugs”, etc.

In his response, the NACCIMA President, Engr. Ibrahim assured NYE of the readiness of his team to be of assistance to NYE in any way possible, including putting in some words for them in the right places.
