The Senate Tuesday suspended plenary over the death of a member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Isa DogonYaro.
Hon. DogonYaro, until his death last Friday represented Garki/ Babura federal constituency, Jigawa state under the All Progressive Congress (APC).
He was the deputy chairperson of the House Committee on HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria Control.
It is the tradition in the National Assembly that when any member of either chamber dies the two chambers will adjourn sitting for a day in honour of the departed colleague.
Therefore, the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, in observing the rule adjourned plenary to the next day, Wednesday May 15.
