Ododo sworn in as Kogi State governor as Bello bows out

Usman Ododo has been sworn in as the governor 9f Kogi State bringing to an end the second and final term of office of Yahaya Bello.

This new dawn in the confluence state was sequel to the declaration of Usman Ododo by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as the winner of the November 2023 gubernatorial election in the State.
Ododo took the oath of office at around 2:24 pm in Lokoja, the state capital, on Saturday.
His inauguration came just minutes after Salifu Joel Oyibo took his oath of office as the deputy governor of Kogi State.

Bello, the self acclaimed White Lion, now joins the long list of former governors in Nigeria.
